As paper and board specialists, manufacturing packaging products for the food service and retail industry for over 70 years, the Detmold Group entered an entirely new product category when it began manufacturing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Detmold Medical was founded in March 2020, in response to an urgent community need during the COVID-19 health crisis. The Detmold Medical manufacturing facility was rapidly established to deliver local PPE capability in South Australia, leveraging existing expertise, networks, systems and knowledge from the Detmold Group. Today, we are dispatching product Australia wide.

Detmold Medical has developed its own testing facilities to validate and enhance the performance of its masks. This evolvement in capability supports a commitment to providing quality products to protect healthcare workers. Adhering to guidelines established by the Therapeutic Goods Association of Australia (TGA), Detmold Medical prioritises responsible material supply and manufacturing practices. We are committed to quality and safety, are connected globally, resourced locally, products are engineered with passion and driven by collaboration to safeguard fellow Australians.
